Designed by David Keary, the Promontory Garden at Battersea Park is enjoying its first full Spring flourish. The Promontory Garden, funded by Wandsworth Council (Enable) and the Friends of Battersea Park has been shortlisted for a coveted Horticulture Week Custodian Award 2018. The winners will be announced at an event at Woburn Abbey next week (Wednesday 27 June 2018). Finalists include major national organisations such as English Heritage, the National Trust and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission as well as independent gardens, local authorities, and specialist private and third sector partners.
Chosen for its design excellence in reflecting the English Heritage style and status of the Park and its promise to enhance the riverside views from both banks of the Thames and the park itself, the Promontory Garden was completed in January 2018.
We wish all involved the best of luck at the Event. Find out the full story of how the Promontory Garden took shape here.
